Afternoon Tea at Walton Lea – with Easter Bunny visit

Join us for a very special Walking Mums Easter Themed Event at Walton Lea 🐰🌷

We’ll meet at Walton Gardens at 12:15pm for a short walk through a “secret” woodland path – buggy doable (with a few slightly less-used sections, but absolutely passable!) before arriving at the gate of the beautiful Walled Garden at The Walton Lea Partnership.

On the way, little ones will be collecting Easter Eggs (painted stones!) as gifts for the Easter Bunny… 🥚✨

Walton Lea is a truly special place. Based within a Victorian Walled Garden in Walton, it’s a charity offering work experience and training for people with learning difficulties – and they are so excited to welcome us back. We visited last summer and the children absolutely adored one of the learners, Harry – a real character ❤️

Once inside the garden, there will be:

🐣 A covered, matted area with Easter activities for babies and our littlest walkers
🌼 Easter egg hunting and garden exploring for toddlers and preschoolers, supported by the Walton Lea team

At 1:15pm, the Easter Bunny will arrive to collect the eggs we’ve gathered and exchange them for a small Easter gift, plus a token for coffee and cake for mums in the café ☕🍰

Abbi Stanworth 📸 will be with us throughout the afternoon, capturing natural moments (alongside a meet-the-Bunny photo opportunity).

And as always with Walking Mums, this isn’t just about the children – it’s about mums meeting mums. Walking together, chatting as we go, building connections and making this stage of motherhood feel less lonely. Whether you’re brand new or a regular face, you’ll be welcomed in ❤️

There’s also a wonderful on-site shop selling beautiful hand-tied flower bouquets, crafts made by the learners, and upcycled furniture and bikes, well worth a browse before heading home.

Each ticket includes:
✨ Entry for 1 mum and child
✨ A small Easter gift
✨ Coffee and cake for mum

Picnic boxes for older children will be available to pre-order for an additional charge.

Timings

12:15pm — Meet at Walton Gardens
12:45/1:00pm — Arrive at Walton Lea
1:15pm — Easter Bunny visit
1:30–2:30pm — Coffee, cake & exploring then head back to the cars

We will meet at the entrance to Walton Gardens (by the Bridge) and head to Walton Lea together from there.
