International Women’s Day – Rivington Pike (Carrier Hike)

Description

This is hike number 2 in our Snowdon Hike training schedule – there’s no need to be joining the Snowdon Hike to join this though!

And what better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than a group hike with other Women ❤️

The plan is to hike to the top starting from Rivington Hall Barn Car Park, Bolton BL6 7SD. There is parking all the way up the road, if we plan to meet by the entrance to The Hall (by a United Utilities sign) The route is 3.5 miles in total and of moderate difficulty (steep steps at the end but otherwise a nice steady, climb)

This is a Mum and baby carrier and competent children hike, the aim will be for the group to stay together. If you have smaller children you are absolutely welcome to start with us but we will plan to move at a pace that will challenge the Mum hikers and older Children (probably school aged +), please don’t join and be disappointed 🥰 There will be plenty of walks for younger children to join 💪

If this is your first encounter with Walking Mums, we are simply a (ever growing..!!) group of Mums from all over Cheshire, South Manchester, Merseyside and Salford ✨ who meet to walk, talk, connect and share info, ideas, problems and solutions 💪
