Picnic Brunch at the Walled Garden

One of the things Walking Mums loves doing the most is shining a light on the incredible places we have in our local areas and creating extra special experiences for Mums to come together for.

We are so excited to welcome you to our second Picnic Brunch at the stunningly beautiful Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden – which will open for the morning exclusively for us ✨

We will be joined by our brilliant Photographer Abbi Stanworth, who will be taking candid shots throughout the morning 📸

The walled gardens are an absolute gem, tranquil, nature filled with kitchen gardens, orchards and restored original glass houses (meaning the event is fully weather proofed – but plan A will very much be outside).

As we have the garden to ourselves the gates will be closed, meaning the space is enclosed so children can be allowed to explore (with a close watching eye of course ❤️)

We will be hosted by the volunteer team who look after the buildings and gardens meaning we can ask questions, gain insight and become more connected with this beautiful local place.

The plan is for a picnic style brunch on the grass under the trees by the greenhouses but plan be we can retreat inside.

We have a stock of picnic blankets to share but please feel welcome to bring your won – we may not have enough 🙂

The ticket includes one hot or cold drink (tea / filter coffee and selection of cold) and 1 pastry (DF and GF options are available please provide advance info through email). Also if you have additional children and require extra food please message 🔗hello@walkingmums.com to arrange.

Food and drink choice will be pre ordered prior to the event, at which point dietary preferences and allergies can be provided.

This event is aimed at Mums and little ones to come together, to meet, experience a new place and make memories!

The Brunch will run 10:30-12pm, then we will walk ❤️

A gorgeous pram friendly walk will take place after the Brunch.

🅿️ Lots of Free parking available on the roadside and car park.

This event will go ahead regardless of the weather, there is onsite baby change and it is pram friendly.

If this is your first encounter with Walking Mums, we are simply a (ever growing..!!) group of Mums from all over Cheshire, South Manchester, Merseyside and now Salford  who meet to walk, talk, connect and share info, ideas, problems and solutions 

We also run regular social meet ups like yoga, run club, craft nights as well as the odd personal growth events – we’re Mums supporting Mums to be the best we can be ✨

All you need to do to attend a walk is register and show up. We have a whatsapp group to join for last minute walk communication 👉 here 

We can’t promise sunshine ☀️ or guarantee you’ll have the best time ever (although we really hope you do! 🥰), and each mum remains responsible for her own safety and the supervision of her children throughout the walk / event, see details of our disclaimer 👉 here Please ensure you have sight of your children at all times 🙏🙏

End time includes the walk, the brunch will end around 11:30/45am

Joining fees are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, your ticket may be gifted to another person but cannot be moved or transferred to another event.
