Snacks, Nutrition and Real Life with Little Humans 🍎

An open, honest conversation about children’s nutrition
Following on from our Money, Teeth and Weaning sessions, our next Walking Mums talk is all about snacks and children’s nutrition, one of the most common (and often most stressful!) parts of daily life with little ones as they enter the little walking, toddling stage and beyond!.
We are again going to be hosted by the brilliant 🔗David Lloyd, Warrington – this time in their Creche meaning Mums and little ones will be occupied and happy ❤️
We’re so lucky to be joined by Laurie, Co-Founder of the brilliant children’s snack brand Freddie’s Farm.
If you’re yet to come across Freddie’s Farm, they’re known for doing things differently. Their snacks are made 100% from whole British fruit (and veg!), never concentrates or purees, never ultra processed and packed into paper packets so better for little ones and better for the environment.
Freddie’s Farm’s story reached even wider audiences when the brand won Channel 4’s hit TV series Aldi’s Next Big Thing, earning a major retail deal and national recognition for its healthy, British-grown snacks.
Since then, their snacks are now stocked by major retailers including Ocado, Tesco, Sainsburys and Amazon meaning families can pick them up while doing their regular shop or order to the door.
Laurie is also a mum of two and wife of a farmer, and it’s through her family life – juggling children, food choices and British farming that her passion for children’s nutrition and British-grown produce really took hold. Laurie is not a qualified nutritionist and doesn’t claim to be an expert but she is passionate, experienced and extremely knowledgeable about all things children’s food and excited to share her experiences with us.
Laurie will be joining us for an open, honest and judgement-free conversation about:
- snacks and everyday nutrition
- fussy eating and food phases
- fruit, veg and real-life feeding challenges
- what’s helpful, realistic and sustainable for families
Expect an inspiring story, plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and the chance to sample the delicious Freddie’s Farm snacks 🍓
As always with Walking Mums, babies and little ones are very welcome – real conversations, in real life, at this stage of motherhoodÂ
There will be a Sankey Valley Walk after the talk for those who would like to join, starting at 2:15pm.
