This is of our favourite walks – designed just for you and your tiny person to join with ease! Our welcome to newborns walks are a fantastic chance to get out in the fresh air, connect with other mums, and enjoy a pram-friendly route in a safe and welcoming group. As always this walk is open to everyone, no matter how old your little one is – it’s simply a call out to new mums to join us 🙌

If this is your first encounter with Walking Mums, we are simply a (ever growing..!!) group of Mums from all over Cheshire, South Manchester, Merseyside and now Salford  who meet to walk, talk, connect and share info, ideas, problems and solutions 

We also run regular social meet ups like yoga, run club, craft nights as well as the odd personal growth events – we’re Mums supporting Mums to be the best we can be ✨

Scenic Walk: Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow, Cheshire:

🌳 Walk Highlights

🥾 Scenic Trails – Wander through lush woodlands and riverside paths
🦽 Accessible Routes – Suitable for prams, wheelchairs, bikes, and scooters.
☕ Café & Refreshments – Grab a coffee, snack, or treat at the Weaving Shed Restaurant.
🚻 Facilities – Toilets, including baby-changing areas.
🐿 Wildlife Spotting – Look out for kingfishers, otters, and woodland creatures.
🏡 Historic Sights – Explore the 18th-century cotton mill and workers’ village.

🗺️ Route Directions:

1️⃣ Start at Quarry Bank Mill Visitor Centre and head west on Quarry Bank Road.

2️⃣ At the Mill, take the left path.

3️⃣ Follow the path alongside the river Bollin, then turn right.

4️⃣ Continue until you reach Pownall Hall Bridge car park.

🔄 Return Route:

Retrace your steps back to Quarry Bank for a scenic round-trip walk. 🚶‍♂️🌿

💡 Tip: The paths are flat, well-maintained, and pram-friendly, but can get muddy in wet weather – so bring suitable footwear!
