Why We Love Flybaby

Flybaby has been thoughtfully designed to offer comfort for both parent and baby, whilst fitting seamlessly into everyday family life.

One of the things that immediately stood out to me is how incredibly compact it is. Unlike many carriers that take up valuable space in a changing bag, Flybaby folds down small enough to fit into a handbag, making it perfect for days out, holidays, walks and everyday adventures.

The lightweight, breathable material helps keep both you and your little one comfortable whatever the weather (something we constantly need to think about in the North of England!).

What makes Flybaby particularly special is its innovative 3D knit construction. Unlike traditional carriers made from multiple pieces of fabric sewn together, Flybaby is created as a single seamless piece, resulting in a carrier that is lightweight, breathable and exceptionally comfortable to wear.

The design also makes Flybaby a more sustainable choice. Because the carrier is knitted to shape rather than cut and assembled from multiple pieces, there is very little material waste during production.

It perfectly combines practicality, comfort and thoughtful design — everything a great baby carrier should be.

Why Babywearing Matters

Many people don’t realise that Walking Mums was born from founder Rachael’s love of babywearing.

“When my girls were little, some of my happiest moments were spent with them tucked close to me, exploring the world together. Babywearing gave me freedom, confidence and connection during those early months of motherhood, and it played a huge part in helping me get out of the house and continue doing the things I loved.

As someone who is passionate about babywearing, I’ve always believed a great carrier can become one of the most-used pieces of baby equipment a family owns. From everyday walks and coffee dates to holidays, naps on the go and those moments when little ones simply want to be close, a carrier often becomes part of daily life in a way few other baby products do.

In many ways, Walking Mums exists because of babywearing. It allowed me to walk further, explore more and connect with others whilst keeping my babies close. I genuinely barely used a pram until my daughters hit 2 yrs old, when the reality of carrying their things as well as them made me admit defeat 😂
